More attention

If you've just stopped on by, I'm tackling questions that people wonder about "big" families. I personally still think of us as "just us" and forget that our family size is a bit of a cultural abnormality. We aren't perfect, please don't look at my baseboards or in my cupboards, and most certainly not in my bedroom, when you come over, but we are happy and love what's going on in our "large" family. Take a look at this post if you want to see how this on going series got started and please feel free to leave any other questions that I can give you my view on.

Did you think I had forgotten? Oh no I haven't. I still have more questions and I plan to answer each and every one of them! :-)

ryleeandnoahsmom asked:

Do you feel like for the most part, there is enough of you to go around. Basically, do you feel your kids get enough individual attention?

The way I feel? Well, I feel like there is never enough of me to go around! There is more laundry, and cleaning, and cooking, and snuggling, and playing than one person can tackle around here! I try to prioritize my days as best as I can and keep a balance in my mind of what is really the important stuff.

But as far as the kids getting attention... I do think that being a stay at home mom is extremely advantageous for that. I don't think they are lacking in the love, affection, attention department whatsoever. I especially feel as though homeschooling greatly helps with this. Getting to teach, encourage, and cheer each one of them on provides a lot of special individual attention for each one. Do I spend an hour a day one on one with each child? Of course not.. too many others would go neglected :-)

But we live "in the moments" which is practical... because isn't that how life is anyway?

Also, I think answering Rissa's question here has some good points about individual time with kids as well.
