Yesterday

I know it's been a little quiet over here. Just a few short weeks ago it was quiet here because of my grandfather passing. Last week my grandmother (his wife) also passed. I had the chance to visit her and bring Shiloh the day she died. The last time she spoke to anyone was when she opened her eyes and said "Shiloh, she's such a good baby."

Interesting things I've been reflecting on...

Yesterday was her funeral. Yesterday was also my great grandparents' wedding anniversary, they were married I *think* 85 years ago. Yesterday was also Canada Day, being so appropriate since she was a very proud Canadian citizen, she refused to get her US citizenship and lived as an "alien" her whole married life. Yesterday, Shiloh (who's middle name is after my grandmother) turned 6 months old.

so sorry to hear about your recent losses. what a blessing that you and Shiloh were able to spend time with her on her last day, though. Hope your family is doing well.

I think it is so sweet that they died so close to each other. I hope my sweet Patrick and I live a full long life together exactly the same way. How wonderful for your grandparents to be together in heaven on their anniversary! It's so sweet.

I will keep you in my prayers.
