Bloggy Giveaway

In all my pie in the sky week of vacation at home, I nearly forgot.....

THE BLOGGY GIVEAWAYS CARNIVAL!!

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button

I'm participating in giving away this time. If you're here from the main carnival site, welcome!!

There are literally HUNDREDS of blogs giving away free things! So make sure you visit around to win some good stuff!

Because, I have always won something at each carnival. I've never won one of the huge things, but I have won plenty of gift certificates, and an apron, and it's so fun I just want to bring joy to someone's heart.

So, my giveaway is two fold in purpose. Please read carefully :-)

- I am giving away a $25.00 amazon gift certificate today. The purpose of that is to bring you joy.

- I can put anything in my amazon store that is found on the amazon.com website. If you use the gift certificate in my amazon store however instead of the plain old amazon.com address, we earn money for our adoption. The purpose of that brings me joy!

To earn 1 entry into the contest : Leave me a comment with what you would like to buy from amazon.com with the gift certificate. That way I can have it ready and waiting in the store for you, and you can always change your mind. Like I said, I can put anything in there.

To earn a second entry into the contest : write a post on your blog about my giveaway, and how entering a contest to win something also helps support an adoption! You may then come back and leave me a comment with the link to your blog post.

To earn a third entry into the contest : Leave me an additional comment answering, do you think I should do more giveaways this week? I like to bless people! I'm thinking... starbucks? target? Tell me what your favorite store is and maybe I might choose it for another gift card giveaway!

You don't have to be a blogger to participate, just be sure I have a way to contact you if you win. This contest ends on August 1st, 2008 at 11:59 pm EST! If your comments don't meet the above criteria, they will be disqualified.

Thank you and good luck!!

wow, check out all this feedback. Crazy.

I would probably use it to buy something for my wife. Today is her birthday! She would really like clothes I think, and I couldn't hazard a guess at her size. So I would probably get her a gift card.

If not that, then I would like to get one of the books you mentioned in a post a while ago. Or this book by Voddie Baucham.

Amy Giove said...

I'd like to enter! I think if I won I'd be torn between clothes, 'pretties', and belly dancing stuff. Videos or hip scarfs especially. Most likely I'd get something belly dancing related. Thanks for the entry.

I also think you shouldn't have another giveaway this week unless you think it'd be more $ towards the adoption. If you did, I'd think Amazon you could get almost anything you want. Although Target has a special place of longing in my heart. =)

Unknown said...

Hi Katie! Look at all this comment love :) I have a few books I've been waiting to purchase, but the top of my list is "Publish Your Patterns! How to Write, Print, and Market Your Designs" by Nancy Restuccia. I love that having purchases made through your Amazon store helps with your adoption expenses.

Also, I don't know if you should do more giveaways now or not. I love giveaways, but I think when there are too many at a time people don't stop to think about the blog they are reading. So maybe in a few weeks you could do another one, and people wouldn't have contest-fatigue.

P.S. I have bookmarked your amazon store so I can buy through it, even if I don't win the gift card.

Also, I do think if you can afford to do more giveaways you should. I would, but right now money is not growing on trees! I have one up on my site though--stop by and enter!

I'm thinking of doing one giveaway a month as long as it's affordable. I LOVE yard sales and flea markets, so I was thinking I could do a yard sale treasure giveaway. It wouldn't cost much, but it would save the treasure from the dump and get it into a home where it could bring someone joy! I have found all kinds of jewelry and vintage stuff at yard sales, for instance. Long winded, sorry!

Good luck with your adoption!

If I were the winner I would probably get some kid books for my little guy- I would totaly be willing to let you know so you could put them in your store- Adoption is SOOOO expensive we tried for our boy for 7 years and actually looked into adoption a couple of years before we had him- and may end up going that route for #2. Best of luck with the adoption- I'll keep you in mind next time I'm shopping on Amazon- even if I'm not the lucky winner. Thanks so much for the great giveaway!
