Did you know?

The cost of postage is going up? It is. On May 12th your first class stamps will be going up from $0.41 to $0.42. I didn't know this until today, I can't believe it I missed it somehow. I remember walking to the post office as a kid and buying a stamp to mail a card for something ridiculous in comparison.

Fortunately, you can buy forever stamps between today and May 11th if you haven't already done so. I think this is a great idea and almost want to buy a ridiculous amount of them (like 500.. don't worry, I won't).

You say $.01, what's the big deal? Well, even if you only mail things out maybe twice a month and 50 times at Christmas.. if there's another postage hike in price, which there will be, you'll continue to save money since they cover the cost of inflation in postage no matter what you paid.

Just your friendly little bloggy reminder to get to this post office by Saturday.

I was wondering if I had missed it. I've been buying the "Forever" stamps whenever I go into the post office, but I'll go get a few more. Thanks for the warning!

I had no clue, so thanks for the heads-up. The amount postage costs really annoys me, I must confess. I mean, I'm not that old and I remember it being $0.24/stamp, which is significantly less than $0.42/stamp in my opinion! Anyway, I'll definitely be hitting the post office soon for some stamps!
